Good afternoon, you might have lost, forgot or even changed your Google Account and accidentally you got into a situation where you are unable to use your phone for the reason that it is locked as a result of wrongly guessed pattern lock tried several times by someone. There are several simple steps through which you could easily unlock your device without loosing any data on of which is by logging in with your gmail address and password.
In a situation whereby you can’t remember your gmail’s password or a condition in which the data on your phone is not active or the wireless network you are using is not connected, then steps to be stated later in this will surely be of service to you. Some of the steps may unlock your phone without causing any damage, where as some of the steps have to do with loss of all the data(apps, pics, music, contacts) stored on the phone.
This method will ensure the safety of all the stored data on your phone, for it has to do with recovery of your forgotten password using the mobile number provided by you during registration…

You will receive a message containing some digits and possibly accompanied by a link contain in the same message, copy the digits sent to you and past them in the field on the recovery site and click on “continue”.
Now enter new password, comfirm it and then click on reset. password”.Use that new password, and your device is unlocked.
If can’t recall the mobile number you used in creating the account for security purposes, then click on ‘verify your identity’. Google will therefore ask several questions related to past
passwords, contacts, recent emails, or other information. Answer all the questions untill when you regain the password.
In a condition whereby the google account on the device you want to unlock is not yours perhaps you bought the phone as a second hand user, then the only option for you is to reset the phone to factory setting which will erase all the data content of that phone. But you can be able to save some of the files like music, pics or media from the phone, depending on your settings. Also, make sure to remove the Memory card before carrying out the task. But befor then, here is the method for you to recover some of the files:
-Connect your device to a computer using USB port. After successful connection, then go to “My Computer” and click on your device. Your pictures are under the “DCIM” folder then click and drag this folder to your desktop, or to any other folder where you want to store this backup of your pictures. Also backup the “Music” folder in the same manner, by dragging it to where you want your backuped music files to be saved. Repeat this process for all the folders you want to backup, like “images” and “Downloads”
Note: They’ll be deleted once the device is reset.
Here is the process of resetting phone to factory:
Turn off your Android device, Press and hold the “power”, “volume down”,and “camera” buttons at the same time. If your mobile device doesn’t have a camera button by its side, then press and hold the “power” and “volume down” buttons for like 10 seconds. Scroll using your “Volume up and down” button until you find the “Factory Data Reset” option. Tap on the “Factory Data Reset” option, and then tap “Reset phone”.
