State Coordinator Wants Corp Members To Embrace Entrepreneurship.

The NYSC Coordinator in Katsina State, Alhaji Ahidjo Yahaya, on Saturday called on the 2020 Batch B, Steam 1B Corps members to embrace
entrepreneurship and income generation practices, for self reliance.

Ahidjo, who made the call while addressing corps members at the opening ceremony of Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) activities in the orientation camp described the SAED Programme as capable of building the capacity of corps members to gain the required entrepreneurship and hands-on skills to cope with the challenges of youth unemployment and global socio-economic downturn.

He said, “The increasing rate of unemployment among Nigerian graduates is disturbing, hence the need for the corps members to renew their focus and redefine their goals
and aspirations.”

The NYSC boss said the SAED scheme has created opportunities for financing corps members’ business proposals through the CBN in collaboration with commercial banks.
